#14 - TheBerlinFlow is back!

Hi beautiful,
It’s been a long time 😅 I hope you’ve been doing well!
The past few months were quite intense (for me, and probably for many of you too), and I didn’t want to write just for the sake of it when it didn’t feel right.
And since I’m not as perfect and disciplined as I’d like to be, I have to admit I’m still in the process of learning how to be consistent and committed.
From now on, I’ll send this newsletter a little shorter than before, only when I truly feel inspired to share and I will try my best to send at least one letter per month!
Think of it as a small surprise in your inbox 🧧😊

Meet Alexandre Dandelion, a Berlin-based French kisser, masseur & cuddle monster
Alexandre Dandelion is a multi-facetted practitioner and facilitator. Former physiotherapist, he now gives original 1:1 bodywork sessions of abdominal massage (chi nei tsang) and integral massage (his own blend of tantra and sensual kink). He's also a massage and breathwork teacher, and definitely a cuddle monster!
How did you become involved in sex-positive community spaces in Berlin?
I first attended tantric massage workshops, connecting with participants on a deep level, some of whom are now friends. I left France where the scene is still very limited, and came to Berlin where I discovered IKSK, temple spaces, Xplore Festival, S+ clubs... I attended workshops and events quite extensively and intensively, at first in a compulsive, consumerist way. I guess I needed this phase of going all in, to confront my suppressed desires and unconscious conditionings. From participant, I went on to being a volunteer/assistant, and later a facilitator in different spaces. Sometimes I'm giving massages in a party or offering a cuddle workshop somewhere, and others I'm just attending someone else's event, or you will see me at the door doing the entries. I enjoy having different access points to the community, and playing different roles. Diversity brings more fun and feeds healthier dynamics, in my experience.
What patterns or dynamics have you noticed in sex-positive communities?
The kind of FOMO and performance pressure/anxiety I went through in the beginning, is quite widespread. The S+ universe is often fantasized, and people tend to see it as a parallel reality they cannot access or belong to. There is a sulfurous aura around places like KitKat for example, that tends to misrepresentations. Unexperienced people might go there with wrong expectations, and a mindset that is far from an ideal of sexual liberation ; for exemple a very taking energy and poor consent practice. This will in turn perpetuate the artificial separation between people who « live the lifestyle » and those who just don't get it. Without generalizing, I would say the latter are mostly men – and that's not a fatality : I think education can change patterns and dynamics.
Looking back, what have been your biggest personal takeaways from participating in sex-positive spaces ? How have these experiences changed the way ou relate to yourself or others?
I realized that the limitations I felt in regard to those spaces, were limitations I felt in regard to myself, my own sexuality, desires, body... And the separation I felt from this universe was coming from projecting love, freedom and appreciation outside of myself, and outsourcing validation. The more connected to myself and my authentic desires, the better my experiences in these spaces (and outside as well). Pretending to be or want something, leads to more frustration, while being vulnerable enough to show myself, connects me deeper to people. Letting go of the goal-oriented mindset of wanting to engage sexually with people at the expense of connection, makes it way more aligned, satisfying and fulfilling when it eventually happens.

For someone curious about exploring these communities, what mindset or approach would you recommend?
Be honest. Be ready to question your biases and learn about yourself. Be as clear as possible with your own desires and boundaries. This will come also by experience, so be curious to explore and be gentle with yourself. Join an online chat, and really try to understand (and feel!) what the community is about. Connect with people from the scene without pressure : go to a non-sexual meetup, like a « munch ». Don't take setbacks personally, as there are many, MANY different communities, spaces and people in the scene, and it might take a few trials and errors to find yours. Be yourself as authentically and unapologetically as you can, because « your vibe attracts your tribe ». And maybe most important, come correct and EDUCATE YOURSELF, especially (but not limited to) consent practices.
Can you tell us what a cuddle workshop is, and what inspired you to create it?
It's a space where you can experience physical closeness and non-sexual intimacy with... well, strangers ! The idea might feel a bit weird, but connecting this way is actually a very fundamental human need. I'm a « cuddle monster » myself and love to be physically close with my friends and lovers. And some people don't have the chance to access that form of intimacy, so I created the Kuddle Klub and offer different formats for people to experience it. And to connect the dots with what we discussed before, I would say a cuddle workshop is a great setting to connect with one's practice approaching people, communication, consent, physical interactions... without any sexual pressure. This Friday 27th February I will be hosting Steamy Snuggles, a evening with sauna and cuddles @ UHU, a long cosy format to unwind and connect. Come check it out !

I’ve been hosting regular women’s circles in my cozy home for the past two years. Each gathering explores a unique theme, and every circle carries its own distinct energy.
The next women’s circle will be about the theme of perfectionism, control and procrastination. We’ll explore how perfectionism shows up in our lives, what it protects, what holds us back and how it can create different responses as procrastination or avoidance for example.
When? Friday March 6th from 19th to 23h
Program: Sound meditation, Exercices, Sharing Circle with oracle cards, connection time with shared snacks (optional Amanita included)
How to register? Send me a private message on Telegram or register directly via Luma: https://luma.com/kpooe4u8
I am co-hosting the first relational sharing circle for men and women on April 10th.
